New Jersey young adult, Donovan Jones, is a Worship Leader. He loves to lead people into the presence of God. He is a multi-talented force who displays amazing range in vocals, soothing sounds on the guitar and resonates every beat on the drum. Donovan released his debut single “First in My Sight” in 2017. First in My Sight is a praise and worship chant, that he hopes when you listen to it, will compel you to cast all your cares upon God and put him first in your sight.
Donovan feels humbled that “First in My Sight” was nominated in the category of Praise and Worship Artist of the Year, Contemporary Male Vocalist of the Year, Praise and Worship Male Vocalist of the Year, and Youth/Young Adult Artist of the Year for the 2018: 10th Annual Rhythm of Gospel Music Award show in Greenville, South Carolina.
Though Donovan has been singing early on in his life, he began his professional music journey with the New Jersey music group Special Ensemble at the age of 10, performing at Madison Square Garden, opening for Gospel legend Tye Tribbett and winning the McDonald’s Gospel Fest.
Donovan does not shy away from his ministry and loves to pour into his generation. In addition to releasing his new single in 2017, he has also started his college journey studying Pastoral Ministries at Nyack Christian College. He wants God to use him to help him bring more to Christ by teaching, covering, and feeding sheep to fulfill the plan God has for their lives.
Donovan hopes to take you on a journey with Jesus as he listens to the voice of God following where he wants him to go.
